Gallons indicated reflect drum volume, not necessarily collection capacity. Actual capacity dependent upon type of debris collected, condition of filter, and other factors.

Peak Horsepower
Peak Horsepower represents a level at or below the maximum horsepower output of an electric motor tested in a laboratory using a dynamometer.
Airflow (CFM)
Airflow is the volume of air being displaced expressed in cubic feet per minute (CFM). While some manufacturers take this measurement at the motor inlet, which increases their airflow reading, WORKSHOP takes the measurement at the end of the hose where a user is actually using the power.
Lift
Lift is measured by connecting the vacuum cleaner to a manometer gauge that will measure the vacuum pressure level in either inches of water or Mercury. WORKSHOP records the ASTM Blocked standard measurement in inches of water.
Air Watts
Air Watts is a calculation of lift and airflow. Airflow and lift have an inverse relationship, and a formula is used to calculate air watts. WORKSHOP uses ASTM standard F558 and not "internal lab" to calculate Max Air Watts.
Average Motor Hours
At WORKSHOP, we test our motors thoroughly and regularly to make sure they are among the longest lasting motors in the industry. This testing is conducted to ASTM standard F1038-02 helping insure the accuracy and repeatablitiy of the testing procedures. You can find out the specifics in these standards from ASTM.
